just got my 240, got some Q's

hi guys, im new to the forums, i just got a 5spd 91 SE fastback... only 113k miles on it ( which i thought was decent )

first of all, i bought the car for $2,000, i think i payed a good price...

did compression check... good results
interior is very nice besides a crack on the dash... im not amazing with cars but i know my way around... my brother in law is a mechanic and told me it was a damn good deal when we test drove it and did the compression check

i DO plan on doing the sr swap

i have a couple of questions!

how much does the igniter chip cost to replace? (sr20)

i was thinking about getting the sr20 from JapanMotorImport.com...
is there anything missing that i would need to get?

does the apexi GT spec exhaust fit on our cars? (sr20)

im sure i have some more questions, but i cant think of them right now...

also...

i have exactly $2,000 to spend on bolt-ons and what not

i was thinking these:

http://www.srownersclub.com/Merchant...ory_Code=CATBK

http://www.srownersclub.com/Merchant...egory_Code=HDR

http://www.andysautosport.com/produc...ks?_v=vmd00311

im kind of un-sure on what to get with the remaining 200 dollars...

if anyone could give some opinions or ideas that would be much appreciated... my mind is not set on any of those items... i would really like some feedback on what i should get first/next and the brands who make the best for our cars etc etc...

thanks in advance!

welcome

you will actually have about 280 if you pay the prices that they have listed, but don't forget you will have to pay shipping unless doing local pick up so thats more of the money gone. Exhaust will fit if its for the right year car.

I believe that Japanmotorimport.com is a vendor on this site, check out the vendor for sale section.

i can local pickup the exhaust (most expensive to ship besides the motor)

anything besides that will most likely be ordered online... but not neccsarily from those sites

Hi you could search and see the feed back that other people give on parts and vendors.

or #3 - both?

Anyhoo - those parts will fit after you swap to SR. However before you go 'parts list', get the actual motor first.
