hood question

When i'm driving on the highway, my hood acts like it is going to fly up, like it physically moves up and down...I went through and checked all the bolts and they were all tight but when I compare the hood's position relative to the fender lines, the hood never goes ABOVE the fenders, it is going low then back to flush...it prolly moves down a 1/4" or so, just enough for me to notice and get nervous. Is there a fix for this?

rubber spacers that are bigger then whats factory.

i use rubber bicycle grips. just make sure if you are going to do this that you get some soft rubber ones. very cheap adn its and easy fix

I read somewhere that if oyu lift it above the fenderl ine you get quicker cooling. Wouldn't have thought it if I just saw a car with it done. My 91 did that too. Just a slight move, almost not even noticable, and everyone in the car htinks your crazy when you say you saw oyur hood move.

On shorter hood cars (i.e. 200SX) it looks like the car rear ended someone.

I have the hood lift mod thingy on my car, it seems to cut the engine temp down a little... the cool part is seeing the water jump from the hood to the windshield while you're driving, heh...

...then again I should be watching the road

so you guys are lifting the stock hood height? I havent heard of that one before, but it would work...it's pretty cold up here in Indiana so when the weather warms up a bit i'll give the rubber mounts a look at. Thanks for the ideas
