just as the title. I have a 1990 240sx but I dont' know if it's SE or not. I wanna know cuz I think SE have higher spring rate and thicker sway bar. can you tell by optional equipment? mine is a fastback so I have flipup roof, alloy rims (the many hole ugly one), spoilers, AC, power window, and its a manual. thanks

Where are you people getting your info from?
Let me guess... internet forums.
Run it through either the DMV or carfax.
I highly doubt ANYONE here sold these cars when they were new. So it is all hearsay.
BUT I can tell you like I mentioned above. I have a SE. Everything you all pointed out are options. Not a package. Because came with a front spolier as standard. The power equip & wiper were options. As was the auto transmission. A Standard trans was exactly that standard.
If the car is original & you have alloy rims you have a SE/LE if it has the steel wheels with hub caps you have the base model.
If you have A/C you have a SE/LE as the base model didnt come with it, not even as an option, as far as I know.

I checked carfax for both cars:
JN1-MS36-P2P-W-XXXXXX
1993 NISSAN 240SX/SE
(with rear wiper)
Does that mean its an SE or it could be base or SE?
I checked another 1992 240SX SE A/T that I am planning to buy and and it says on carfax:
JN1-MS34-P4N-WXXXXXX
1992 NISSAN 240SX
(dont know if it has a rear wiper and this one is selling as an SE model)
Help...

People please be aware that posting complete VIN numbers can be dangerous. This is the second post I edited (same guy too I think)
If you have to post a VIN, exclude the final 6 digits (for 240sx's) because these are the only digits that uniquely identify the vehicle, and have no bearing whatsoever on trim or model specs.
