Make friends in the right places or come up with an extra 100 dollars to pass under the table. Not that I would do anything like that.

It been covered lots of times ryan, its impossible to "legally"pass smog in CA. You have to find a crooked smogger to pass it for you, the only way possible.

Is it really that hard because A RB20DET is exactly what I want, it would be the coolest thing to me but the smog thing scares me.
LOL

Thats one of the reasons i didnt do the RB swap...its 100% illegal. The way i said is the ONLY way to pass smog. There is no way around it at all. And yes, cali does suck ***!

im gonne eventually put an rb25 in my s13.
you just gonna have friends in the right places.
and i've got one who does your regular smog and one that does your CA certified smog. and i know i'll pass at either one.
and i wont be payin no xtra $100 either.
just get to know some people in the car scene and they will know some people who will hook you up.

Yeah just bring $100 with you, or make some new friends at the local smog stations.

In MN there are no inspections of any kind. It's pretty sweet.

Once you pass the smog test with your RB25DET are you set for 2 years? Is there anyway you can get caught? Like if the cops pull you over, will they look in your hood because it sounds different, and recognize it's a skyline engine?
