How to roll back odometer on S14?...Got New Cluster
I got a new gauge cluster for my 96 240sx, but its miles are higher than the actual miles on my car. Im not trying to pull any crap here, just trying to get it to read the correct miles. I can get as far as getting the speedo/odometer assy out and by its self, but thats it. Need to know how to roll the miles back on the odometer (the more detail the BETTER!) Thanks in advance!

if I told you I'd break a federal law.
If you really want to do it just to keep track of your mileage, just write down the difference (say, "+ 5400") on the back of the cluster with a pen, or on a note and leave it with your reg papers, etc.
If you got a new cluster but your old speedometer/odometer works on the old cluster, just swap that into the new cluster and change the face (if you went from black to white, etc.)

ok so does anyone know how to remove the speedo needle? If im not mistaken, it has a cable that it attached to it which makes it more difficult to take off. I dont think it simply just pops off....
I wouldn't even mess with it. This is like pulling a Ferris Bueller on the Ferrari. Except, they didn't take the speed/odo out of the car. Just swap it out like nsn_240 suggested. I think you're setting yourself up for one big mess if you try to set the other one back.
