I got my 240sx today!
After awhile of searching i gave up on looking for 97-98 240s and started looking for S13s, right when i give up guess what i find? A 1997 240sx base model in pretty good condition! Now i dont have to drive my 1994 Ford Ranger with 230,000+ miles on it. Anyway I have been lurking around these forums for quite some time and posted a couple questions from time to time and now that i have a 240 to call my own I will probably post more often and i look forward to it. Well, just wanted to tell you guys the good news
But i have two very newb questions. I can't seem to find the side mirror adjustment ****. And, is there anyway i can adjust the steering wheel? It's a tad bit too high for my tastes.

More info on the buy please! And pics
1) Have no clue, don't know the interior of a S14
2) Don't know if S14s had the wheel tilt, but to the left of the steering wheel, like right behind it there should be a lever(I guess you can call it that). Mess with it and see what happens

the thing for the mirrors is like on the middle console. right close to the stick shift, but little bit down.
the wheel does adjust... there is a little handle on the left side of the wheel. open the door and look from outside. you will see it.

I found out the side mirrors are adjusted by manually just pushing the windows inside the housing, and there seems to be no wheel tilt. I purchased the car for $8,300, the color is red. The car came with:
Injen Cold Air Intake
Front Strut Bar
Short Shifter
Momo Shift ****
Sony deck CD player
Sony XPLOD speakers
He said the previous owner put on an exhaust mod on the car but from the quality of the exhaust area, everything seems stock, I am guessing the muffler could be aftermarket it seems a little big, but its really dirty. I will try to get pictures so you guys can tell me if its stock or not. I don't have a digitcal camera so once my friends come back from vacation, I'll try to post some pictures.

i have a '98 base and i have power folding mirrors, the tilt is on the left hand side of the steering colum, pull the lever up it took me a while to figure that out. oh btw stick or auto and milage?
It's a manual, the way all sports car should be
. The mileage was 93,000 when i bought it. Do you guys know what kind of gas the 97 240 takes? Can it take 87 octane aka regular unleaded (the cheapest in CA)?

Ok i just received the 1997 240 manual and it says to use at least 91 octane unleaded fuel.... Is this true... Because i have 87 octane in it right now and i know my friends subaru 2.5RS runs with a minimum of 87 octane and that car has around the same performance and weight, slightly bigger engine and AWD.
if u dont put 91 youll get **** gas mileage and not perform as well as it could this is true for my Prelude, the thing i dont get is when people buy a car that says put 91 and ***** about it just suck it in and do it you wont regret it in the long run

Your Prelude has is a high compression engine which is why you have to run 91 on it, but on the KA engines 87 if fine... especially a newer, less mileage 97.
BTW there has to be the steering wheel tilt on your car unless someone broke the metal handle off (which I doubt)
