i had a revalation today

i raced a camaro ss, in my 1990 240sx w/ sr20det, and he completely detroyed me, i relized that there is no point in droppping allthe money into my car, if you want a really fast car buy a domestic, or spend twice as much hooking up the import. I wish i had never done the swap in my car, its fast but i also blew 10grand on it, whe i could of had a faster car for about half that much. Damn

apparently youve never seen star wars or heard yoda.. domestics are the dark side.. much easier and seductive.. imports require more patience and money.. the light side. stick with imports and be patient. dont fall for domestic gayness

Dude, an SS is major power. V-8 Ram Air right. That thing has *****. And if it modified, it's pumping some power. You're facing somethign that prob has more than double your displacement. But then again, you're prob just down on power by maybe 100hp and pulling less weight around. Most of what I've read, modded imports eat up domestics. Don't worry though. Jus know you're import is gonna last a whole lot loonger than the domestic. Oh yeah, and what year was it anyways?

True, what else you got in the SR. Cause that thign stock pumps prob less than 200 at the wheel. You'd need to boost it up more for more power and an FMIC to keep that going well.

The SS most likely doesn't even come close to the way a 240 can handle. It's a SS, what do you expect. If your running stock boost it's not surprising.

and whats the ss's gas mileage look like? go ahead and get a v8 and within a few months spend about as much as you did for that sr in gas money then look at your options. plus like everyone else is saying, those ss's are pretty bad. dont let that put you down, and if it was a newer ss then you most likely didnt spend as much as he did, i dont know for sure but i believe camaros arent cheap.

dude dont sweat it that much, advancing and learning from the loss is what life is all about really, just shows you that there always more to do, just cause you got the Sr swap doesn't mean your done, theres always more...plus look on the bright side, your car will still be around in like say 8 years as to where his is gonna be scrap somewhere in the junkyard....another plus the 240 has speed and handling, the SS probably only has speed

plus I bet that SS will be off the road in 15 years... good old domestic quality.

Can't say the same for the countless piggies rolling around
