I think I need a wing.

Yeah, I have a 95 base model, and I had to know where the ECU would kill my fun... and rather than look here... too simple, I decided to take it out on I-80... really late at night, middle of nowhere, hit 115 really fast because I decided a small river bridge would be a good place, since it was down then up, so less time involved, less risk with cops... All I have to say... is 115 in that car, without a wing... SCARY... maybe it was the wind too, maybe a stock wing wouldn't matter... but... I used to own a Galant and went 115 in that and was cool with it, but I was not cool with 115 in the 240... I'm thinking... I need some downforce... cause the back was feeling a little loose. Not that I do thing regularly, but I do live in the middle of B.F.E. so, I suppose I might sometimes, and I'd like to know at least that I could somewhat safer. So, would a stock wing help, or do I need to spend actual money?

well I got a 240sx fastback and I 115 was no problem for me I have those ugly lip wing but I doubt they do much. but I do have a filp up moon roof which I think it provide me more downforce than the wing. anyway what kind of suspension do you have. sometime you might want suspension more than wing.

Could be anything, suspension, slick tires, dirt on the road....

I'd say taking an all around look at the car. My s14 hits 115 or so with no problems. I am riding stock with no rear end sway. Who knows, maybe it was just windy

Yeah maybe its tires because i took off my rinky dink litle stock SE wing and going that fast, I never really experienced any instability, but i wasn't swerving around at those speedas, i stayed in my lane.

Before you go puting a wing on do what these guys are saying first, take a look at the car all around. Is your suspension shotty? TO be honest I would think that you should take a look at your tires, tires are rated and most stock tires aren't meant to run at 120 mph and therefore is very dangerous. To be honest I don't know what our stock tires are rated, but if youve had them changed and bought teh cheapo's then you have better check it out, you don't want to loose it going that fast.

Well... the suspension is KYB, and the tires are Michelins all around., not cheap ones. Yeah, it was windy for sure, but I didn't think a 20mph crosswind would make me feel that uncomfortable. And... for anyone who thinks a wing only helps over 160mph.... Uh... what speeds do the automatic wings on the Porsche, and any other car that has them typically pop-up? Yeah... 160+... that would mean a wing is pointless on almost every street production car EVER MADE. The damn engineers at Porsche must be really stupid. Ridiculous... I think anything over 60-80 depending on the wing... and no, I'm not a goddam ricer, and I don't want a fuggin stupid *** wing... I want a normal practical wing, so that things like that will be less likely to happen... and either a stock wing does, nothing, or... it helps. I just want to know... everything being equal... does it HELP...

Well duh... It's just that I don't have the $500 for some big PHAT C-WEST JDM WING DAWG...

Actually I had $500, but I spent it on NEON LIGHTS!!! Yah... waddap... My car looks like... a fuggen amusement park ferris wheel! And the ladies... Oh... and I had to buy stickers and logos for parts I don't have... I painted NISMO on my Cardboard fiber hood myself with a stencil I made out of horsepower paste... I'm a badass.
