Actually yes the Vg is very heavy but you can mount it farther back cause its only three cylinders long. Gives it a mid-engine placement kinda like the corvette
Lots of room in the front (good for turbocharging later on). Milage....You wont lose THAT much. Yeah...Rebuild your SOHC I hear its easier to get power out of that than the DOHC KA. VG isnt for everyone...

Is easier to install a v8 than the VG if you can find a shop to build small block mounts.
Even though it is 3 cylinders in length you still have a longer crank than KA, making it a longer engine than KA. It is still bored at 3.0 litres, maximum bore of the vg is at 3.3 displacement found in the vg33 pathfinder.
VG defenitely isn't for everyone but I enjoy the torque it delivers to whipp my head back into my seat.....
VG perfomance in N/A can make up to 300+ HP

True... The swap is not for everyone dude. A Turbocharged VG swap is much more involved than the NA VG swap I want to do. Did you notice that the car s13 240 posted only has ONE turbo? VG30deTT (Twin turbo if you didnt know) wont fit so he had to make custom manifolds and piping AND he had to feed one turbo to two throttle bodies. Stay KA dude its a good platform for turbocharging and bulletproof if you rebuild it right.

One reason why that is single turbo is that spooling time is much more efficient with 6 cylinders rather than 3, so is boosting. 2 turbo's doesn't necessarilly make a engine faster performance wise, it just adds more torque.
The turbo on that VG is extremely large and I would assume that it looks like a T28 but I could be wrong.
KA I will agree is a great platform......

Hey Big V, I didnt say that you COUDN'T put Twin turbos, I was saying the stock setup wont fit. That was my bad i didn't word it correctly. But yes you are right about weight. Vgs are heavy! An Ls-1 is lighter and I hear its only like 20-30 pounds heavier than the KA. Only reason I want a VG is to keep it nissan
Yes im ignorant like that
sorry man didn't try to blast you. You are correct and I personally like the VG and the potential it has to offer. But I had to add a the downside to the vg which is infact it's weight. Also the truth to that turbo setup on that s13 with the VG singleturbo. Dont get me wrong all engines are built for different applications. Yes I would keep it all Nissan also, I am die hard Nissan.
