I'm new to the 240 scene...

Hello,

I'll be in the market soon to start my new project, which is to build a 240 to my specs. I fell in love with the 240 not too long ago, and decided I wanted to build for myself. Thing is, honestly, I don't know much about them. What I want is an S15, but I don't know if they are available here in the states. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Hero

True, the S15 was never sold here in the US, but I love my S14, they are rare enough around Seattle to attract quite a bit of attention. I actually prefer the lines of the S14 myself, just very clean and crisp looking.

i wondered why we are so obsessed to use japanese terminology for our cars? cant be just the uber jdm-ness of it. s14 mc works a lot better for me than s14 kouki. especially for those who dont follow import car culture.

How difficult would it be to convert the 1998 240 into the s15? What are the differences?

you can make an s14.5 which is an s14 with s15 front and if you want to go crazy you can throw the rear on too but itll look like ish and youll wast alot of money, you cant really make an s14 look like an s15.

my goal is to put the VSD1-GT Model body kit by veilside on the car, but it's made for the s15 (which can be seen at www.veilside.com ... click on "products", then click on "aero fashions") I need to conform the body so that the kit fits.

it's the kit in my avatar

you cant make an s14 an s15. you can make it look similar, with the front and rear conversion. but the body line will not look like an s15 because its still an s14... it will look like crap.

you COULD do a 14.5 conversion, use the veilside front bumper, and then use the veilside s14 kit for the rest of you car........................... a lot less trouble. actually i wonder why you don't like your body the way it is -you shouldn't buy a car to make it look like something else. if you want an s15, get over it - so does everybody else.
