no, the ka head flows really well already. get some cams and an ecu tune if your lookin for quick n/a power. if you have budgeted enough to get itbs i say go that route on n/a. great powerband compared to the stock ka

There is someone on ******** that actually made an intake for 30 bucks from an existing manifold. If I can find the link again I will post it up here.

he probably didnt make the whole manifold, just the plenum with stock runners. it really would only make a big difference if you had alot more air to direct into the head, which n/a ka doesnt have.

salarus i wud apreciate it if u do that.
how can i make my fast w/o goin turbo?
simple stuff, not bore the engine n stuff, i no that already. i mean like different things like light weight driveshaft, lcouple of pulleys left, lighter wheels, carbor body parts, ecu tune up( i ahev pdm cams that need to be tuned) make my car lighter like taking the seats out, etc.
what else can i do. i have intake, cams, exhaust, radiator and crank pulley done.

Your not going to make it incredibly fast staying na. Lightweight driveshaft will help free up some rotating mass which should help launches, AFAIK they only make a crank pulley for the KA, lighter wheels will help a little (nothing super noticeable), carbon body parts are lame as hell and poserish, ECU tune will do good, and guting it will help get the weight down a little.

just turbo the ka, it's less of a headache and more rewarding in the end (if done correctly of course).

i don wanna go turbo cuz i gotta pay someone to make it pass smog. i live in cali, thats y. besides turbo kills da engine faster than na engines and theres lots of maintenance that goes along with it.

i would have to pay for smog even with na, i no. but the price difference is alot. i no lots of guys with sr n ka-t that had to get rid of em(sr engines or or turbos) cuz they cant pay that person anymore cuz they got caught by the cops or soemthing. ive seen it. its scary.
u guys probably want to turbo ur cars or have done it already cuz u wanna kickass in the streets(drag race), but on the track either autocross or circuit, which im into, power doesnt really make u faster(depending on the layout of the track of course).
my car has 140whp, n i have beaten an is300 with modified exhaust in autocross. power difference like 40-50whp.
im just sayin.

Here is the link I was referring to earlier.

Listen, If someone is looking to do something different, don't knock it. If you have proof that it won't work, then provide it, if not leave them be. These forums are supposed to be supportive, not trying to get everyone to turbo there cars, or do the same thing. It is about trying new stuff. I personally have a N/A build up planned, but I am waiting to get bills paid off so I can afford it.
Just please, lets be a little more supportive. If you really have doubts about the feasibility of N/A motors then look up some of the posts by BigVinnie. I don't always agree with what he posts, but he is very knowledgable and has proven that N/A motors can be feasible and fun.

tell em, sularus65 I will probibly go turbo at some point, but I think that with a good shape KA (mine has 49k miles id rather put $6-700 into the na engine get er close to 190hp..ish and then dump and $2-3000 turbo setup in and break well over 300hp. plus I live in Canada so no SMOG Woot.

on another note it seams wierd that there are so many speedshops and parts manufatures in Cali and its that hard to pass smog. hmmm well you can thank arnie for that guys.
