So about 6 weeks ago I bought nearly $6000 worth of parts from Intec Racing (all in one day). First off I am still waiting for my Blow Off Valve, 6 weeks later. The main thing is that they sold me a horrible engine and wont give me my money back for it. The vissual problems alone are as follows:

-One of the worst looking engines Nick has ever seen
-Rust on Cams and inside valve cover
-Sludge and material inside the head on the pistons
-Broken wiring harness (injector grounds)
- missing power stearing pump
-hole in oil pan
-bent fuel lines (wich they ended up replacing way later on)
-throttle body lever is all bent up and sticks open
-slave cylinder not working
Intake and turbo manifold were loose on arival (i tightened them)

I get the engine in with help from knowlegable people like Nick, Erick and Brian. We managed to make the engine start, but it wont go anywhere without a working slave. Finally Nick just told me to return the engine.

So when I called Intec today to tell them I was going to return the engine, because it didnt work, they said that they couldnt take it back. When I asked them why, they said," Well you dont put engines in for a living, so you must have done something wrong." I said well it wasnt just me doing it, I had help from other peolple that have done this before and one guy that works at a shop. At thet they said, "well most shops and people for that matter dont know what they are doing." They said that it was my wiring, but my car starts. They said it was my timing, but we had it set very close to what it was and still sounded like a truck. After all was said and done, he was saying how sence I got it started, than it must work fine, I was just not able to figure out what was wrong. After all of the degrading things he had to say about mine,Nick's, Erick's, and Brian's work, he had the nerve to ask me that if I brought my car in and they made it work, if I would PAY for the labor!!(oh yeah I want a ****ty engine in my car..awsome!) But they wouldn't take the engine back, saying the warranty was void when I left the shop. If I can't get them to cooperate the next step is the Better Bussiness Bureu. Over all, I wouldnt recomend anyone use Intec Racing for anything other than a place look at cars.

they took the car back, and are working on it today, and then however long it takes to make it right.

 

are you still paying for labor?

id say still report there ***, they pretty much called you and your friends an idiot, thats not good sales repping

 

well, like i thoguht...they are wanting me to pay for labor, but are willing to throw an HKS intake system (piping and everything) if I pay them $200. So I figure that I will pretty much be paying for the intake and be spending about $20 on labor
