its my birthday and i want a running 240sx please look in here

i was born 18 years ago today (feb 24 1992) and i always loved car games i didnt know what the car was called but as i got older i realised it was a nissan 240sx hatchback i loved them... years later i got my hands on 1 i payed for it with my own hard earned money. i got it about 3 days ago and it doesnt run but ill make it start

i need to know how to drain the gas... the easiest way to drain it does it have a siphon screen so i can just put a hose in the gas tank and suck it out (i have a little pump thing) or do i have to pull the gas tank off

all i want for my birthday is my car to work please help

p.s. does any1 know where to find a 5spd tranny in virginia beach pick and pull doesnt have 240s and every 1 wants and arm and a leg for 1 i looked on craigslist nothing

i know i typed alot thank you for taking the time to read this

im in the hampton area and i may be able to find you a tranny. ill have to do some asking around. If the tank needs to be drained you would probably be better off pulling the tank down and seeing if there is any crap in it.

that is the easiest way or you can just take the in line to the fuel pump off and keep the fuel pump on and drain it out that way.

If the gas is really old and has been sitting i would really recommend droping the tank and cleaning it out.

It really sucks when you drain the tank and the all the **** at the bottom gets stirred up when you fill it cause it has been sitting so long and clogs the strainer. then the car wont run

the 240s have a little seperator in the tank for where the fuel pump fits in to keep some of the dirt and stuff away from the strainer but in my experience that doesnt always work.

Do whichever is better for your situation. if the car hasnt been sitting too long just drain it the easy way but if its been sitting awhile (especialy with e10 gas) go the other route and clean out the tank.

On the hatchback it's literally in the hatch, remove any carpet in there and you'll see a port-access for it.

run some new gas through it and change the plugs. you probably flooded the motor, so turn it over a couple times with the injector clips unplugged. get it running decently before you try to seafoam it.

its like its not getting gas tho like u have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it running and if u floor it the tac goes up to 2 1/2 then if backfires and starts sputtering and i put new gas like the expensive stuff in there and i already changed the plugs then i cleaned them off when i put new gas in
