The Junk in my trunk...... Fuel cell

Pics came out a little funny. Its all stainless steel pipe but it looks brown or burnt in the pics.... Cameras

It still fils from the stock location. The reason for this was to allow for true dual exhaust (V8). I didn't have it on the lift the the pump and regulator are under the car infront of the fuel cell.

what ohm seding unit are you using? if it is a 90 ohm are you using an aftermarket fuel gauge or did you hook it up to the stock fuel level gauge?

OutToWinPAHC 07-09-2007 05:01 PM

No its a 90, I am using all Autometer Ultralite 2 guages. Speedo, Tach, Oil temp, Oil Press, Volt, Water Temp, and Fuel

I need a fuel cell too.

Hey PA Hardcore, what was the cost, specs, etc on your cell?
I really wanna do one too after seing yours, sick

ryguy 07-10-2007 03:29 PM

Is your piping to the tank running parallel with the ground? It looks like the fuel might sit there in the pipe.

OutToWinPAHC 07-10-2007 05:56 PM

No theres a slight angle, and its all stainless steel. Plus it could be redone in the future, its not going to be a daily drive hmm labor was about $200 to have done, The cell was about $120, sending unit was $25, fuel pump was about $250, Guage was about $45 then all hose and fittings. So yeah maybe 600-700 total. It was a need for my car to fit the exhaust pipes, and I didn't fab this. I kinda told the shop where I wanted it and there it is. I supplied the shop with the engine, trans, and all the parts for the swap. They did it all because I had no time anymore. I was in the middle of the swap when I got stuck working 50-70 hours a week. And I had a girl at the time, so I just gave in and shipped it across the country to Ellis Autoworkz. I supplied the parts minus the little stuff like fittings and all and my labor bill was 8700 bucks. Engine trans and other parts... Estimated $6000. All into a shell I paid 800 bucks for lol. But now im moving on the body and interior. I got most of the S15 swap on for fitment, and then I can move on to body / chassis then interior. End result, looking for a sick ass totally rebuilt LS13.5
