Alright guys,
just got back from the junk yard and i think i scored. I got a 93 j30 diff. I know the output shafts are different, so i also got the axles.

NOW. in research i found out that ALL j30 diffs are 3/4 of an inch longer. Meaning my current driveshaft will be 3/4 of an inch too long(suposedly).

My question is.... Is this true? What do i do? Someone said get a abs/lsd driveshaft off of a 240, but that will be near impossible! Can i have my current shaft cut?


Has anyone already done a j30 diff? If so, can you give pointers? Did it work with stock non lsd driveshaft?

I think it was the s14 VLSD that will be 3/4 longer but even with that, everybody says they can get it to fit.

 

I should have a LSD ABS driveshaft for manul trans in about a week. Let me kow if you still need one.
