just a reminder
just a reminder
other than the routine oil change i have a habit of putting off maintenance and only fix or replace things after they are no longer functional.
anyways latey my car had been hesitating when i'd put it in first and get it going. i suspected a minor vacume leak at the iacv was the cullperate so i took it off to replace the gasket and the hose broke. the hose to the air reg looked brittle so i replaced that too. since i had to remove the upper section of the intake manifold to get to that hose i made a new gasket for it and the iacv.
long story short my car idles better and doesn't want to die when i put it in 1st any more. so replace those old hoses and gaskets. i highly recommend that rather than buying the gaskets you get yourself an exact o knife, hole punch, and a roll of gasket paper.
anyways just though i should remind everyone.

Maintence is great. I try and change my oil every 3000 miles. I just changed out my spark plugs and air filter. I did a little test and shifted at 2500 and got over 400 miles out of a full tank of gas. It sucked because I would be in 3rd by the time I reached the other side of the intersection.
