I have seen engine dampers for the sr but not the ka, who makes them and where can I get them.

 

they are for the most part universal because you just bolt it to the strut tower and engine block. you can find them on ebay but idk about the quality.

 

Solid motor mounts for me. No more engine movement.

 

How do you like the solid mounts?? I was thinking about the avid ones, the are solid aluminum with a little bushing.

 

i was thinking about a damper too but then i installed the cusco mount and don't need the damper any more. the extra vibration took some getting use to.

 

My friend, who's a machinist, made them. He had a set on his car for 5 yrs and hasn't had any problems.

The vibration isn't to bad. No worse than having a loud exhaust, it just isn't loud outside of the car. Also if you have a welded diff and solid subframe spacers its going to be louder, but just turn the radio up. That's what I do :wink:

 

i'm gonna have to disagree about the solid mounts being no worse than a loud exhaust. only because it's not just nosies your dealing with but extra vibration.

solid engine mounts are ok but if u got the hp u'll bust something
