ka24de instead of sr20det

ka24de instead of sr20det
well I'm thinking about doing a swap to the dohc ka24de instead of the sr20det, for one the sr is a little expensive, and I don't have to wait very long for the ka24de.
I have searched for the swapping process from the sohc to the dohc, and this is what I have found that I need...
the dohc engine (of course),
power steering pump,
longer ac lines,
maf,
ecu,
wiring harness,
what else do I need to get?
now here is the question that i didn't find that was answered...
I have a 90 hatchback, what year model engine can I drop into my car?
my answer: any year from the 90 to a 94! Am I correct on that?
When I googled the questions below, this is what I found out...
What is stock boost of a sr20det engine?
what is the stock hp of a sr20det engine?
which, I think it was, 15 psi, and 205 hp.
on the ka24de, I seen somewhere on this sire, that it could handle 10psi safely on stock internals, and it raised the hp about 40 or 50 hp.
The stock hp of the ka24de is 130hp?
My big question is...
would it be cheaper to do the ka24de swap with turbo kit, or the sr20det swap?

You're going to need an ECU for the same year engine you get.
Any KA24DE from 91-98 will drop in.. although, the 95+ will require different intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and such...
Stock boost is 7psi, and 205CHP on the Redtop s13 sr20det.
10psi on a KA24DE with a good tune, and a decent T3, or T3/T4 turbo could easily get you to the 250whp mark..
KA24DE is 155CHP/160TQ Stock..
It would be cheaper to swap in the KA24DE, and run 10psi... plus you'd make more power.
2.4L + 10psi > 2.0L + 10psi
btw, i'm being nice.. most people are, or would be like "OMG, n00b!! search first, you are teh sux0r"

check this out from Zilvia
You can drop any year 240 engine in your car, you just have to swap some things from other years. Could be cheaper, could cost more depending on which parts you go with.
Don't seem like you really did search too hard, answers to alot of the questions you asked can be found all over the net...

I did search, and I found the list below, but just wanted to make sure that it was correct, and that i'm not going insane of making the decision of the sr swap or rebuilding a ka24e.
I'll let you know what I'm going to do, I have a engine that needs to be rebuilt from a 89 coupe setting in my shop, so I may go with that engine.
but who knows, I'm just really confused right now, and no one can help me at the moment!
