Good luck trying to legally register it. Despite what this guy says about how easy the registration, I've heard too many stories about the lengthy and troublesome process of legalizing a non USDM vehicle.

i got a few friends that can help me out a lot on legalizing it, so it shouldnt be to hard. im sure there is a lot of paper work. I think its worth it though

You'll have to crash test it to legalize it. Nissan won't give you that paperwork that says it's similar to the 240sx cause it's not.

Motorex spent all the money on buying extra GTR's then they crashed them. I've seen Motorex talking about importing silvias and 180sx's, they say the cars would have to be crash tested in order for them to be legalized. The other alternative would be to get Nissan to give you documents saying the 180sx in similar enough to the 240sx that new testing isn't necessary, but they won't do that.

the only other way to do it is VERY illegal. swapping VINs with a USDM 240SX.
