Looking to upgrade my turbo

Hey all,
I'm now looking to upgrade my turbo for my s14 sr20det, I know I will need injectors, but other than that, is there anything I will need?

Also, I was looking at the Garrett GT2871R, It's a little pricey though, anyone know another turbo that will produce upto around 350hp that is a little cheaper?

i have a garret GT2871R on my s13 SR but sadly i cant tell u how i like it cause my car isnt running yet but ill be able to tell you soon. anyway ive only heard very good things about this turbo and it isnt too bad got mine for $1100 on optionimports.com

also injectors and afc is what you really only need GT2871R is a direct bolt on to s14/s15 SR i only had to slightly mod somthings to make it work with my s13 sr

How much will an afc run me? cuz I'm still saving up, right now I just have enough for turbo, in about 2 weeks I'll have enough for injectors also

All I'm seeing is Apexi Power FC and that costs as much as the turbo itself

afc is for tuning you cant just throw in the injectors and be good lol its considered a type of piggyback most people use the Apexi-Neo AFC im pretty sure its around $200 its pretty good.

since i went a little crazy with my set up i opted for a AEM EMS stand alone one of the best if not The best stand alone unit for the SR20 i can basicly do anything with it even run an antilag set up. but it is pricey i got luck i got mine for $1300 but mormal price is around $1600

btw go with 550cc injectors its good enough for your 350whp set up

Yeah I knew it would need a tune, just figured I would be able to tune the stock ecu. I was planning on going with 550cc injectors.
Thanks for the help with the Apexi-Neo AFC, sounds like just what I need =)

I can't wait to see your set-up run.

Yeah, I've read your build thread. I was going to get the same exhaust mani that you got, but then I opted for the Megan Racing one instead. Now I'm going bigger turbo, and I'm installing my lightweight flywheel (ACT Prolight).
I am having a weird problem with my car though. One my vacuum lines were all messed up, and I got a diagram off line and fixed them all, but now my car hits 9psi of boost when it should only be hitting 7psi, I don't have a boost controller or the factory boost solenoid. Also, my rpm bounces from 850-900 constantly, and while I'm driving normally just cruising at 60mph, the car starts to bog a little unless i give it a little gas or let off the gas, then it goes back to normal driving for another 10 minutes and does it agian...

It sells new for 259.99

Edit: Neo sells for around 329.99

Should I get the GT2871R .64 or .86?
