Lower Timing Chain

Before anyone says anything, I know I deserve a huge "dumbass" printed on my forehead. About a year ago I replaced the upper timing chain, guides, and lower guides on my s13. Now I can hear the same rattling that I KNOW is the lower timing chain flopping around. The rattle is near the bottom of the engine and frankly, there is nothing else that it could be. I know how to replace it, but I was wondering if there is any way I can get the lower cover off without having to pull off the whole oil pan, which means undoing all that mess with the suspension. (stupid design) Anyways, can I bypass doing all that mess or am I stuck?

no get in there and remove those guides before they break off on you. also when you are in there check to see if you tensioner is functional by pushing on it. it should go back and forth without much resistance.
