LSD to drift?

Alright do you have to have a LSD in the 240 to drift or am I just uncapable of doing it bc I have drifted other vehicles and I hear of people always drifting their 240 but I have been unsuccessful in drifting the 240 with its crappy open diff. If you do have to have an LSD(I know dumb question but it just makes me wonder if there's a secret to drifting in the 240 since I always hear of you guys driftin em) where can I get one and how much do they usually run?

You don't have to have a LSD. Its just a whole lot easier with a LSD. Try drifting in the rain for some practice or something, IMO its easier to drift in the rain with an open diff.

Thanks man, I was on a autocross track on a bright sunny day so I'll have to try it with a slicker pavement and see how it turns out.

Yeah I still waiting for my tomei 2-way to come in but I can drift all day in the rain with an open and so-so all season tires. Clutch kicks and feinting galor!

Yeah, there are lots of ways to start a drift. Its just easier in the rain for me because I can power over even though my engine is stock. I've never been able to get clutch kicking to work too well for me. Feinting works well too, but I haven't gotten many chances to practice that. As per the cost of a LSD if you still want one, you could probably find a used one on eBay for ~$400. New ones are usually $800+.

you can drift without it being wet. This one guy in my town drifts a stock 240 with a blown head gasket and an open diff. You just have to learn the techniques to do it.
