Misc photos of my new 240..alot of pics

Was having some fun today. Got it washed up, took out the non-functional pillar gauges. Got out the cluster...man what a mess of crap that was.
What is up with this white face gauge stuff. Need a ON/OFF switch & a dimmer? That crap is junk.

Got all the parts to get the head fixed. So it should be up & running by next weekend. I am taking my time with the wiring mess..wow.

All in all not bad $700 project

Some mics photos of shop stuff & the 240.

Rotary anyone?

It's an 89. I smoothed the front bumper with fiberglass.

As for the rotary stuff. Most of those are going to be built & sold. If he needs something PM me. Got an assload of stuff.

Gauges? HAD gauges..notice last pic. I took them out. None of them were even hooded up.

Been busy. Got the seats welded up & modified to a great fit.
"modified" the prop rod so I can actually open the hood. Working on my Mercedes got me used to FULLY opening the hood, so now any vehicle I get has to open like this.
Got the muffler cleaned up got all the paint overspray & road tar off of it. Lowered the car for fun, plus I am going to roll & pull the fenders to fit the up & coming rims(19x10's). Got the head back from the machine shop, going on tomorrow.
Plus alot of little misc things here & there.

Well here are more photos....

nice start, give a clay bar a try on that paint. Might smooth out that orange peel out a little bit.

The paint is crap. I am not even remotely worried about it. It was painted about a month ago & never wet sanded( I did not do the paint but all the *** busting prep-work up to it, until I damn near broke my hand). IF & that is a big IF I feel up to it, I may wet sand it.

I forgot to add a pic of one of the 2 bent valves.
Apparently the engine was just over hauled not long ago, but the dumbasses forget to torque down the rockerarm bolts/cam caps.
