My $200 beater

Hey whats up.
me and my friend started a car club, anyway my beater is on that page. 1990 240 fastback

http://techmafiaracing.tripod.com/ghandi

so far i fixed a lot of **** on the car,
-driver side mirror was held onto the mount using long wood screws? cut them smaller and it sits perfect now.
-bent passenger side fender because the door was hitting it and making an annoyingly loud snap. prying with a screw driver fixed it.
-adjusted door strikers so the doors close fully now and contact the door switches.
-beat down the bent hood hinges so the hood sits back where it should, also popped out the center hood dent and now the hood closes to the bumper. i'm in the proccess of trying to get the frame pulled so the hood latches.
- semi fixed the sticking throttle. is there an over travel screw that is suposed to be in that threaded hole thats on the TB on top and near the front of the throttle spring?
- put a screw through the unbroken side of the sunroof latch and into the sunroofs latch mount. so now it closes instead of flapping in the wind.
-new tires since winter winter is upon us and the other tires were bald. did some sick one wheel powerbrakes tho
-removed a/c since it didn't work.
-fixed the distorded clock, banging on the dask and pulling and wiggling the time set/reset rod did the trick, but it would still sometimes distort. then one day getting gas i decided to reset the trip meter, it was hard to push but i put force on it, heard a slight unsticking sound, pressed it a few times, the trip reset and the clock works perfect now since then. lol
thats all i can remember right now

"performance"
i figured out what resistor those ebay auctions use and went out and paid $1.08 with tax at radioshack for 5 of them. i have a ****load of resistors laying around but of course not 4.7kohm (yellow, violet, red with a tolerance of 5% which is the gold band) ones, go figure. anyway i popped one in and it made a noticeable difference after about 4.5krpms. my friend says the car pulls good for a motor with 189k on the clock.
so tomorrow i'm getting an egay cone filter and adapter plate. my integra has a short ram and that made a difference.

since this is my beater car i'm gonna mess around and ahve fun with it. so sunday my friend and i are cutting the springs. lol maybe they will help fix the blown shocks. or bounce like a *****. i'm thinking 2 coils. any thoughts? and yes i AM cutting them don't tell me to buy springs unless i can pick up 4 of them for like $20.

for xmas my friend is hoping to get a MIG welder, and with that we are gonna weld the diff, or do you guys think an arch welder with the correct rods will do the trick? i'm thinking if i jam a plate or something in there then the arch welder should do the trick. thoughts on this cuz??

and if i ever get the cash i'm gonna buy a nitrous kit and spray the hell outta this car. but then hopefully i'll have fouond another 240. i was looking at the NOS cheater kit. but it's a 10oz bottle and i don't think it'll even last a 1/4mile. NOS makes a kit for the 240. but i dunno if it's wet or dry. i prefer a wet kit since i wanna transfer it to the next car.

anyway thats my story

not bad for a running car. looks like the passenger side is a little more jacked up though. just replace the front end it would be less of a headache.

the wireing is ALLL screwed up. half the buttons on the dash don't work, a lot of the wires i see are taped, crimp connected and all that ****. theres an 8 gauge amp wiring coming off the battery right... then about 6 inches later a 10 guage automotive wire is wrapped around it and fed to the back as the amp "power wire"?? i got a radioshack CD changer wired remote control box INSIDE my dash. i removed the console and found it just chillin there. now i know why theres a hole cut in the trim in front of the shifter. it's too much work. i'm juts gonna find another BONE STOCK grandma driven 240 and build that
