My 240sx is great execpt one thing

well first off let me say that i am brand new to this site and i finally got my 240sx. well i got my 240sx for $600 and it has 170k with at rebuild motor that has 20k on it...so you do the math...the call is great i love it EXCEPT in the moronig or when i first start the car SOMEtimes the car boggs a lil very lil....and in the moroning i let the car warm up and everything and then i got to work but once in a while the car die on me like i see that rpm got to 0 and off it goes. i see the filter(they plugged in a cold inake filter to stock hosing) is in need of replacement and they said they did a tune up but i am still gonna do it on my on ...i work auto zone so i just get what i need .... hehe..... but i want to know is thet anything like a sensor that coulkd be causeing this ? because i have a an integra and that thing always had problem with sensors so i thought maybe this is the same (yes and am a G2 tegger as well but can you blame me honda is the basic platform)

Try what they said and if that don't work see if any codes are being thrown by the ECU.
