every time i try to start the engine, it would crank. it wont start. then when i just hold it there for awhile, it would start a little and i have to give it some gas for it to actually start and engine start to run. its been doing this alot and only happend recently. probably 2 weeks ago it started doing this. theres a new alternator too that was installed. i dont know whats wrong with it. please help.
p.s. i own a 1989 Nissan 240sx hatchback

 

fuel injectors.

 

fuel injectors, fuel rail, fuel filter, distributor, spark plugs, plug wires... one of these things. mayb couple.

 

when i was doing my swap i had this problem over and over. was getting real pissed off and then i remembered i hadnt put the fuel pump in. so did it. and whala it was fixed. might check to make sure your getting fuel to those injectors. or maybe check the filter.

 

just give that baby a full blown tuneup

 

happened to me once. i had a lil tune up. it was just basically getting new spark plugs, spark plug wires, and changing most of my fliuds. seems ok now. not sure if it's the exact same prob u have, but it sounds like it.

 

thanks alot everyone for the help but my 240sx cannot start at all. gotta get new starter, new battery, fuel pump, fuel injectors. getting it all fixed. after getting it all fixed.. im gonna sell it and get a s14. so anyone looking for a 1989 nissan 240sx hatch?
