Hi guys, i dont know much about how to diagnose problems so im reaching out for your help.i have a problem with my ka24de. when i used 87 octance my engine would not rev smooth. at wot it lose power for a quick instant, then keep climbing up the rpms then lose power again, then keep climbing, etc. it would lose power 3 to 4 times before i need to shift( at 5800rpms). then i switched to 91 octane and it would run smoother and would only lose power ONCE at high rpms. i tested my tps sensor and its good. what should i do to fix this? whats causing this to happen?

 

clean your mafs and your iacv and I bet you will see a lot of improvement. It wouldn't hurt to change your plugs and ecu coolant temp sensor too.

 

i cleaned my maf and temp sensor too before all of this started happening. i havnt checked the iacv tho. ill check it later today. thanks
