Need help!!!!

Hello All,
I am new to the site but tried to search first for my issue. Couldnt find anything but here we go. I just got a 91 240sx from the auction and it seems as if someone may have removed the ECU from it. Funny that they would but not take the Alpine CD player in it...lol. Anyway whatever is gone is from the driverside kickpanel. And since the car cant be jumped or anything i figured maybe this is where the ECU was. I bought the chilton book for the car but it says that the ECU is in the engine compartment on this vehicle. If anyone can help I would appreciate it much.

The ECU is located in the passenger side kick panel.
