Need info on 89-93 240SX/(JDM 180SX)

Hey guys, i'm new to the board and i hope i will be staying on this board. I own a 93 honda prelude right now and it's lightly modified. But now i have a new interest because honda's are getting so damn boring and repetitive... i'm looking into purchasing a 89-93 240sx. First mod i will do is the sr20det swap.

However, first i need to know some specification for the 89-93 240sx, what options did it come with, i plan on getting the hatchback. Does it have power windows, airbags, power mirrors, anything else useful? Or did only a certain models come with them.

Second thing, how hard is it to drop in a sr20det? Does it bolt right up with a few extra electronic connections? What other things should i be aware about when doing the swap, i.e. driveshaft, radiator fan, etc.?

Third thing, i've seen a few 240sx with a s13 front conversion and super street has just put a s15 conversion from japan. I was wondering if anyone seen one with a s14 conversion (97-98 240sx)? Is there a premade kit that can just bolt right up? Or will i have to purchase a 97-98 front clip and customize it on? Does anyone know any more info on this? Also, what's the redline on these engines? And how much boast can you turn up on a stock motor? I know it's running pretty low boast.

I plan this project to take me a year or so, but this is strictly a project car and i'll make my prelude a every day driver, if you want to see pic my prelude: http://www.preludeonline.com/eX . It's been a one and half year project and i was thinking of doing more, but i rather start something else since honda's are becoming redundant everywhere.

Thanks for all the help!

Well, this is the only info I know, so here is a good link:

http://www.edmunds.com/used/1990/nis...tml?id=lin0064

Thats the link to a 1990 options, but on the top is should have a link to the others.

And with the rest of the stuff, I'm sure some of the guru's can answer your questions.

There are kits you can buy from Japan for the conversion. They sell them for the S15 or S14 front ends. Somebody I know is shipping his entire car back to the US in May and its a Sil-80 with a S15 front end on it and large rear fender blisters like the GTR's so that he can run wider tires. Of course he's got a 11 second car so he has the power to back it up. Even sporting the window nets on the car. Definately an experience to ride in.

Actually donnie, it's more like 130yen to a dollar now (sob) The yen has been growing weak since the recession, which is actually good news for people in the US since you can get things cheaper now.

Yep he was almost dead on with that one. It was 131 Yen to the dollar today. I'd have to say about $200 for shipping since you can get a engine, transmission, ECU and wiring shipped to the US for $500.
