How much do they want for the car? I have a '96 as well, but only 104,000 miles on it. The car runs perfect. I just don't know about the whole salvage title and the airbag issue.

I, personally, would not buy the car. Only because I have trust issues.. but, I'm sure someone else has much more useful advice on this.

I could justify $4,000 for it if there was no salvaged title or deployed air bags.

I noticed that you did mention the price in your first post. I must have skipped over that line. My apologies.

Why do you capitalize the first letter on almost every word?

The salvage title will follow that car around until it's junk. If you ever try to sell it, the buyer may not want to deal with it. As far as the salvage title goes, every state is different. I believe it is based on the amount of money needed to fix it is worth more than the car, although the car can still be driven and fixed by someone else. It's just like an insurance adjuster saying your car is totalled. Don't quote me on all of this. As far as 4k? I think it is a little high. Check on auto trader and ebay to get an idea on what they are worth. Also check kelley blue book online. This will give you a starting point. I have seen better ones for not much more.
