Never thought of it???

I was driving my frind home today and we saw a s14 with those euro tails....I just started laughing. He was talking about how cool they were and how much better they looked than mine.
We got into an argument and I ended up calling the car rice...Him, not knowing what it meant asked. I Just kind of sat there. I really didn't know what to tell him. I told him that rice was someone who bought something becasue it was "in" and "flashy"......what is everyone else's defenition of this?

I feel so retarded. Maybe I should of been a Honda owner.....

NOT.

Rice is a car with by style huge useless wings moddified rear lights that never look right. Mismatched body kits. basicly an ugly *** import or new domestics can be riced.

rice is any mod that makes the car visually more than it really is.

this includes body kit's to some extent.
not lips though.

rice is like the flashy civic with the huge metal wing, the ground effects, grossly huge body kit, dumb graphics that consist of ninjas, the super overly large exhaust that doest fit right, the clear tail lights, and super ugly rims.

it makes it even more better when you look in the car and see the automatic shifter.

(haha i saw this car at a gas station two nights ago and asked him why he had the wing? and he replied with "to keep my *** end on the ground for better traction." funny how huge wings slam the back down to keep traction on the front wheels.)

*Rice* - to me is any no important body modification, for example: overly huge wings, LED lights in the car, hood pins, etc etc

Ricer - to me is someone who thinks that one sticker on there car gives them 10 HP, for example: some honda guy has 5 sticker (vtech, mugen, etc whatever) he tells you he has 50 plus HP, that to me is a ricer.

CheederKnight has the right idea of being ricer!

Imagine a Mustang with a GT-R badge,or a DX Civic with a Si-R badge, things like a luxury car like today I saw a Chrisler Sebring it was like a Luxury green color, guess what that **** had a Huge Alum wing,I mean seriously why would u put a NOS sticker in your car if u dont really had shiat? a huge body kit or big *** muffler dont make a car being a ricer ,its all about being different but some ppl overdoes it sometimes and they really make themselves look stupid by just making their car look it has no sense whatsoever of style.

Well where i come from the term started out as any Jap car that is modded. So generally speakin we're all ricers. Dom and Euro car owners call us all "ricers" and laugh at the indivuals who try to categorize certain jap owners who u call ricers(etc civics w/ fart pipes and 10hp stickers). Yes I do shake my head at those individuals in disgrace and I may put them down, but not all civic owners fall into that category. You're gonna always have those indiv who can give a car a bad name. I show love to anyone who does it right. "Real" car lovers show love to everyone Dom, euro, and jap. And No I've never had a Civic.

Lol. I heard the term came from old muscle car drivers. That they were refering to the cars as a general. That being they are from Japan and are now so common in the USA, they put it with one of the 1st things that come to mind with th Japanese. Rice.

Just some more ideas.

And BTW anyone want to let me borrow $10.00 so I can order a Civic/errr.... some ham fried rice would you?
