new to 240sx

whats up guys, im selling my 96 acura integra pretty soon for around 8-9 grand, and am thinking about getting a 240sx... i would like to swap in an SR20DET/turbo and do a VIS striker (drifter) front conversion. what do you guys reccomend i do? i cant go above what i sell my car for. so how much should i look to spend on the car? how much on the swap? (is the swap complicated by the way? does it come turbo?) and lastly, how much to have the front conversion and a nice looking kit? think i can keep it all under 9 grand? thanks!

First i would like to say good job on selling your teg to get a 240. I did the exact same thing, had a 95 ls it was hot. As for a good price on a 240 i would say 1k to 3k should be reasonable. You should be able to get a 240, do a swap, and conversion under 9k if you can find the parts at the right price. Good luck man.

for your price range you're gonna have to get a s13 unless you want a salvage title s14.

price shop and you can do it for even less than 9 grand.

What conversion? Unless your just talking about a body kit from VIS. What year 240 are you looking to get? SRO20DETs are Turbo, SR20DEs are non turbo.

Welcome to the forumsAnd please search in the future

You could, however, get a s13 fastback and with a s15 conversion... Otherwise, you won't have much money for a conversion/bodykit, but maybe the sr20.

a 97 - 98 go for about 8 to 10 grand, from the ones ive seen so far, its better to get a s13, if your hoping to do all that you hope, but more so, if your gonna get a swap, instead of getting a body kit right off the bat, get some suspension, then swap your engine, a (powerful engine with crap suspension equals accident waiting to happen) s13's go for about 1 - 2 grand, in good condition, cheaper maybe if its salvage, sr20det about 2 - 4 grand ( i think) depending if you get a motor set or a front clip plus labor, about maybe a grand ( give or take).....but whatever you decide, hope it works out, and welcome to the 240 family

Koukis are the newest/most expensive 240 to get. Check out the for sale thread for 240's for sale.
