That project silvia is kinda old to be pointing it out now
Anyway i thought the article was really good. They show how to install z32 brakes in the rear and putting the z32 e-brake set up in. Probably the most useful car mag i've seen yet

I got it along with 5 other mags. Seems the guy likes to bomb my mailbox. No slow stream, just 5 mags then none. Then 15 mags.
Import you know everything is more expensive than most people admit. If we were to count every nut and bolt the price is pretty scary.

Did you read it? It says that the master cylinder is not big enough for those brakes and that it only helped 8 feet for like 4000. So at this rate 8000 will help me stop 16 feet more. I think i'll take my chances, but they did say they will "tune" it for next issue.
THe JIC stuff look good but for the rear end components without coilovers over 1000 in parts and the coilovers 1800+, lots and lots of $$$. 5 Lug conversion minimum 1000 and thats without the calipers and rotors. I will have to second guess my wanting to do this.
lolz..
actually..
i think the braking improvements were made from the stickier tires..
remember they had shoddy stockers before..
and now they rolling with bigger diameter and obviously stickier tires..
which i think would suggest that
#1 their big brake upgrade gave them no improvements
or
#2 their big brake upgrade actually sucks more than stock..
the only good thing that i would have to say is that #1 they wont be fading like stocks.

LoL all they are doing is chasing their tail at this point and good poitn they do have the falken rubber. So LOL at them. Now every former honda guy is goning to have their car with some brake upgrades on their s13 and say see how good it works, 13" rotors man, stop on a dime and then we can laugh at them.
when someone upgrades brakes..
they do it to improve brake fade...
if u ever checked out an old issue of motor trend or something..
they installed these brembo craps like on the project s13
and well..
they didnt notice any gain in the first time they stopped..
but after repeated hard stops that is where u see the brakes work..
they wont make u stop on a dime..
but they will prevent u from fading like a ***** the next time around....

Did you see last months super street? They installed a willwood big brake kit on a civic. The stock distance was 135 ft from 60 and now they do 116ft from 70, so it's for stopping distance, not just fade. I dunno what is wrong with that 240 though

Damn now I have to cancel my plans of install Nissan Delivery Truck brakes on my s13. Damn Honda in my blood I want everything bigger! Bigger brakes mean I am cool! J/K
There is a disclaimer. It seems that SCC has learned their lesson and is actually covering their tails not chasing them. They state that the swap is only good if you are planning to make the power to justify the cost. They also offer a sidebar explaining lower cost alternatives.
A benefit of larger brakes is better heat dissipation but I can also see you getting a lower braking distance due to the larger contact patch.
My friend Chih scored a set of barely used Wilwoods for his GTI. They barely fit behind his 16" rims. He reported better breaking right off the bat. I still don't think he has pushed them hard enough to test the brake fade.
Here are some pictures of his ride.
