I'm a newb to this forum. I've been parts of other forums, but none that are really Nissan forums (although I just joined three today). I'm a part of AutomotiveForums.com, JDMCivic.com, JDMIntegra.com, ECTMotorsports.com (Check it out, really good), and a couple other forums.

I personally have no car, but I joined this forum hoping that I can get some information to help out a friend. My friend is thinking about getting a 240SX. He's undecided on what body styling right now, not sure whether he wants an S13/180SX, or an S14. The main reason that he wants to get this car, is because he knows that he can do the engine swap. He likes the idea of the SR20DET, but then I told him that he could do an RB engine swap. The mildest RB being the RB20DET, and the best RB being the RB26DETT.

I'm sure that there have been many discussions on this topic before (and I'm not even really trying to start another), but I'm just trying to get as much information as possible on these engines and what they will do once in the 240SX.

AND, please don't try and feed me the bull**** about an RB26DETT. I've read so many threads from people that think they know what they are talking about and say that it is a waste of money. I know prices of these engines... I know they aren't $10k... I know you don't have to cut your car into 100 different pieces just to get the engine to fit into the car... I'm not stupid, and know that none of this is true, and if you do, I think that you need to go do your research again, because I have, and I know the truth. Please don't try and tell me otherwise.
