are your spark plugs gapped right? maybe they are gapped incorrectly

are your plug wires good in the hood

check your timing and mess around with the distributor...maybe its at some crazy setting by accident

the plugs are gapped and fine.. the wires are good.. i'll have to try and mess with the distributor a little more.. i tried a little but it maybe more out of wack then i thought.. also (i just bought the car and was told that it needed a new engine, i tried starting the old one and it was completly dead) the engine that was in there (i'm told) is a '97.. so i dont know if the ecu is 97, or the original.. i dont know how to tell..

well ecu sends signal to ignition coil then the power travels to the dist, then to the plugs. so some where along there, isnt working. have fun isolating what works and what doesnt. id start with making sure the coil is getting a ecu signal, then working your way to the plugs.

Switching ecu's is not a waste of time, it only takes like 10 mins to do. If you swapped motors and cant swap ecu's--- then your the problem.

uhmm... if this helps..

on my firends hardbody..i think its a KA as well. but we took the motor and gt the head redone. When we put it back in, it didnt sparl proper as well. but messing with the timing helped. we found that the distbutor was bad. we changed that out and all was good. baby fired right up.
