no spark??
i've read the threads and still cant figure out why i cant get any spark?? i have a 91.5 s13 with a '95 ka24de engine, harness, ecu ect.. i just got done putting in.. the cars turns over but i'm not getting any spark.. i have another 95 s14, and i was wondering if i switch the ecu's out would that work or would that just be a waist of time?? any help would be much appreciated..

the plugs are gapped and fine.. the wires are good.. i'll have to try and mess with the distributor a little more.. i tried a little but it maybe more out of wack then i thought.. also (i just bought the car and was told that it needed a new engine, i tried starting the old one and it was completly dead) the engine that was in there (i'm told) is a '97.. so i dont know if the ecu is 97, or the original.. i dont know how to tell..

well ecu sends signal to ignition coil then the power travels to the dist, then to the plugs. so some where along there, isnt working. have fun isolating what works and what doesnt. id start with making sure the coil is getting a ecu signal, then working your way to the plugs.

uhmm... if this helps..
on my firends hardbody..i think its a KA as well. but we took the motor and gt the head redone. When we put it back in, it didnt sparl proper as well. but messing with the timing helped. we found that the distbutor was bad. we changed that out and all was good. baby fired right up.
