Question Oiling AEM Short Ram Intake?

Got and installed my AEM Short Ram intake for my baby yesterday and boy is it sweet!! However, a friend of mine told me that for the cone to work properly, I have to "oil" or "grease" it like the K&Ns.

Anybody know anything about this? Is it necessary? Cause I sure as hell wont be taking her out too much if it is. Thanks for the help!

One.

It should already be pre-oiled and you shouldnt have to worry about cleaning and re-oiling for a while. I will do mine about every two oil changes or more, but AZ is dusty as hell, and I have the extension so it is out in the open.
