Well i was reading the latest version of Import Tuner, and i see a section on initial D. i haven't read all of it, but from i have read Tokyo Pop is going to release Initial D in america. Now some may say but it's already here. This is not the Japanese with enlgish/chinese sub titles..this one is going to have english dubbing...

my opinion is that this is really dumb. they are going to remake the episodes with english dubbing. most people already have the subtitled one. and many people at my school are getting sick of intial D...i don't think that it will sell.

i just wanted to let people no about this. what do you guys and girls think?

 

Old news. DVD 1 comes out next month. Most people are pissed though cause they changed the character names.

 

Yeah I've been hearing its going to be here for about a year now... I think its a bad thing cause...well lets face it there are a enough ricers already, now I don't need some kid telling me he can drift me in his civic cause he saw the red type r do it in a cartoon.

Granted I love the cartoon its self, but american culture and streets do not need kids wipping around the wallmart parking lot... And of course this is only my op on the subject. Feel free to lash out in any manner you see fit.

yeah i heard about this before too...and how they changed the name. but when i heard it i thought it was just a rumor. now that i read it in import tuner i actually believe it.

just from lending my dvds out they influenced my friends into drifting and OMG they all talk about the Ae86 and how it's a "super fast" car...sheesh

i do like initial D, but what many people need to do is wake up and notice that it's a freakin ANIME. now all my friends want to learn how to drift -_-...

i got into driftin from my older buddies Option Videos ^_^. and when i started to really get into drifting (before i had my car) i really hoped that drifting won't get to the point where the Street Drag Racing at the Runs came to be.

i have a feeling that some stupid little person is going to go try to drift for the first time going downhill, and die. yes it would be sad, but seriuosly it's their fault.

 

they didn't really change the names completely like you would assume... they more of shortened the names so that kids can remember them easier... example , takumi = tak ...and some others, hell even i have trouble remembering the names

 

I won't buy that **** i'll keep my japanese copies.

then maybe they will redo it right.

 

The dvds come with the orginal jap eps, and then they have the special section that has the same ep but in english. Oh and its 3 eps per dvd, with the same in org form.

Yea, from what I seen its a semi computer animated, but like I said before, I've never seen it
