I was racing today and a kid came up in a '87 pinto type car with some of those stupid a$$ rims that spin when you stop. And a flowmaster exaust system. I was thinking, 'What the ***k'. Anyways, I smoked him by 9 car lengths haha. The point of my experience? Don't buy for looks, buy for function!

Yeah, it was either a pinto or a escort. It had rust around the wheel wells. It made me chuckle a bit.

you know whats funny about tires like thoses and the smaller 'low-rider' donut looking tires... the tires themselves will literatelly explode if you go to fast...they're like spare tires

 

you gotta beware of the pinto and the gremlin. i've seen many run sub 10's in the quarter. people like to put big motors in cars that are known for being crappy. but then again they usually dont run them on gold daytons or the rims that keep spinning.

 

Well here in the Bay we also have "spinners" I have to say I saw a car that's just like the one you've smoked. It's a Ford Fiesta w/ a Gate lock to close the trunk w/ the 50-100 spokes rims. I know how you feel about those. The Junk Yards here is full of those funny cars. Well atleast you smoked one of those.
