Yikes man..... Going ghetto fabulous will make your suspension SUPER bouncy, and unsafe..... Why not get some tein drop springs for $99 out the door, just save your money for a few weeks. You could wreck your ride and lose yout whole investment just using the cut springs........

it would have been better to heat them up with a torch and spring compressors than to cut them. i hope you drive extra carefull untill you invest in a better suspension setup.

Cutting them totally diminished the integrity of the springs. VERY unsafe.. better to save for springs than lose your car or life. Or endanger others.

befor i did it, i read about 30 post and found one link to a step by step proccess. What i found out is the new bottom has to be heated up and seated properly in the spring mount to prevent the bouncy ride. I drove it around town on all different kinda road, no bounce and no bottom out. i even took some bumps on purpose.

the person who said use torche and spring compressor, thats just as bad becasue if u make a mistake and apply to much heat in one spot, the spring will snap once it cools. in the process with the spring compressor, it will just collaps anyway

ps i got help from a domestic site, they have been cutting springs since the beginning of time lol.

You could of just used clamps for $7.00, but that is pretty ghetto fabulous too.

Ignorance has been around since the begining of time also.LOL

Don't kill your self man it handles worse than you think, and heating and cutting springs deminishes the strenth and integrity of the steel.
