Post Your Best 240 Moment Here
The thing that makes me most happy is everyday at wrok (jiffy Lube) atleast one person a day comes up to ask if my cars for sale. i always say no. but they leave feeling degraded because they findout its a girls car
my best moment is when i try to accelerate and my engine bogs down because it has 223k miles and is tired as heck, and stuff is failing on it, and needs constant money input to jsut stay running.. wait thats not a good moment at all... that blows.... haha... i love my zenki... in a crippled girlfriend kind of way.
Yay! Another Jiffy Lube tech, it's such a fun job, all you do is mess around and clean your car lol and it's sooo easy...too bad I quit yesterday
My favorite moment was when we were coming back from the lake with my friends cocky e36 m3 and my s13. At the time he didn't know i was boosted since i didn't put in the front mount yet (everyone thought i was stock for like 4 months, it was my little secret lol) so he tried to run me on 405 north. I noticed my tank was almost empty so I told him that loser pays for the gas we're about to waste lol. I was suprised, i pulled on him by quite a few cars! I was cracking vtec like no other
Just a s13, redtop sr20 and lightened to 2561 with me and a full tank of gas.
So he payed for my $45 empty tank and I went around telling everyone i beat a m3 hehe!

dont you wish we got the S15 in the US? I would rock that in a heart beat. Oh and I think Kuhmo kinda stired it up a bit with their commercial they ran last summer with the silver S15. I think about minimum 2000+ hits on their website asking what car was that in their commercial. So many people intreseted in a car no longer sold in the market around the world, unless used. Maybe Nissan should resurrect the S15 and sell it in the US with the new SR20VET thats used in their new SUV, 280 bhp.
Well one of my best moments, was driving my supra and my buddy driving my 240 from Seattle, WA to Maryland...we hit all sorts of weather you can think of on that journey and managed to get pulled over by DEA! haha all in all the cars made it to their new home safely
btw this was 2 months ago, my cars are loving the east coast!

Mine would have to be the, within my friends, infamous "OMFG!" as we call it.
Was on the 240 east loop of the interstate here in memphis, taking a friend home, it was purely dry and I thank the gods I'm one of those guys who really doesn't freak easy. Doing about 70 in a 65 I took the off ramp and was fine until this eighteen wheeler ignored the yeild sign and was going to clip my bumper.
Without thinking I downshifted from fifth to third (yeah I know hell on gears
), and broke my tires loose, turning the wheel to rotate my rear end to my left, ending up sliding into the car pool lane sideways a good car length or so, the semi missed my car by a three feet and the vaccum behind it yanked my car back to the right but we were okay, my friend, being the nut he is yelled, "DO THAT AGAIN", I was too busy grinning and feeling the adrenaline, that was the third week after I got my S14 chassis, I've been in love ever since.
Other things have happened that rank close to that, the tire slip on wet road around an s curve and recovery into a drift, the 360 spin out avoiding a jeep that almost collided with me, but that one sticks into my mind the best, pure reaction and no thought, all I felt was the car and the road, I can honestly say I don't remember 'hearing' my friend scream, I was too far into keeping my car out of the "omfg we're gonna die" zone, hence the name.

Hahaha... some absolutely phenom moments listed in here..... Mine.... did not even have anything to do with driving... LOL (seein as how it is still in the swap stage of its life and all ) It was the day that I stuffed the RB20det into it, and the hood actually closed.. Hahaha

Classic. I love it. I know when I finally finished boosting my car, I was SO happy when it all came together correctly.
I used to have a 91 fast back... i was getting on to the FDR North in Manhattan (for you New Yorkers..) doin about 50-60 or so.. and came up waaay to fast on a sharp turn i didnt expect ... i locked up the brakes, mashed the gas cut the wheel and kicked the rear out and recovered into a powerslide/drift around the bend doin 30-40mph.. everyone including me thought we were toast but the pig nose held up.. god i miss my lil nissan ='(
this is all really good stuff. great string. i just wanted to add that most memorable 240 moment would have to be that far after i became obsessed with the S chassis and 240 in general, i learned that i was born at precisely 2:40pm. incredibly wild and a little twilight zone, i thought it was awesome. I'm kno tho that as soon as I finally get my 240 tho ill be able to surpass my rather lame memory haha
My best moment was not even in one of my 240s. It was way back in 96 driving my brother's brand new s14.
My friends and I had one corner (actually a 90 degree turn onto a different road...closed circuit of course) that we all used to brag about how fast we could take.
Confident I could do at least as fast as my friend's CRX, I entered the corner at about 60mph and seconded guessed my entry speed. By second guess I mean of course lifting the throttle after I was already committed which of course leads to an inevitable tail out. Scared out of my mind that I was about to crash my brother's new car, I slowly an calmly countered and tried my best to bring the car to a safe stop. It was almost slow motion the way the car kept total composer and casually drifted around 180 degrees while i was able to put it exactly in the other lane head the correct direction.
It was that moment that I discovered the balance and ease of control of the 240. I spent the rest of the night sliding it years before I ever knew what drifting was. Not that I am a good drifter...actually, I'm terrible. But jsut a fun night where I learned a lot about the car and car control.
