Angry Power Antenna Removal

Hi there guys and gals, i was wondering if someone had a second to help me out here, i have a '93 240 and the power antenna doesnt work, you can hear it working when the radio turns on but the antenna doesn't move, well i went out and bought a replacement antenna thinking it was probably just the plastic guide that was broken or whatever, but when i get to removing the old antenna, i cant for the life of me get it to come out! ive tried everything short of using a winch to yank it out, its like impossible to remove!! some help please??

unscrew the circle with the two or four notches on top with a vise grip (locking pliers). then its a few bolts on the inside. having small hands would def help.

You could always put it up halfway (it looks goofy when it's all the way up) and disconnect the motor...that worked for me!

Heres a picture ( sorry about the blurriness) so you have an idea what im working with. its all warped from when i tried using vice grips to yank it out!

the motor is inside the back, but hidden behind some metal on the driver's side. it is akward. how did u manage to get the initial piece with the two holes on top loose. the ones that are exposed. i tried a lot of things but it is really on there. any suggestions for tools would be great.

motor is behind the ****ty emergency jack, better pull out the side carpet lining too, might be a few other things holding it up.

well luckily for me it was already loose, i didnt even need any tools, but try vice grips or really small needle nose pliers
