rear seatbelt question...

I cant figure out where the shoulder strap clips into in the back seat. I just got my car last weekend. I was wondering if there was something missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..

Are you talking about the connection on the lap part of the seat? The one that bolts to the floor?

The 89 240sx are different than the 90 & up, if you go to look for parts.

My guess is that the buckle part of the seatbelt fell through the hole and is sitting underneath the rear seat bottom part. Unbolt the bottom part and take a peak... if there's nothing there, you got jipped.

...but no problem - a quick visit to the for sale forums or a junkyard will fix that right up

Heh, i'd check under the seat first then get a new one. I know when my s13 was totaled sitting in front of my house and i was taking the wheels off at the towing place, i took anything (and i mean anything) i could from the car. From my removable ashtray, to my floor matts.

You don't even have to unbolt anything. There are two clips underneath the front of the seat cushion, one on each side. Pinch the doohicky and the seat will lift straight up- it weighs about 3 pounds, cheap foam. I bet your lap belt receiving end(s) are hiding under there.

Unfortunately for us S14 people, we need a socket set to remove ours... which is why I subconsciously typed 'unbolt'

Actually the lap belt and buckle is still there, and working properly. It's the shoulder stap buckle I cant find. Does the lap belt and shoulder belt go into the same buckle? I'll try lifting up the seat, hopefully ill answer my own question.

Yeah you have the 3 piece unit...LOL it buckles like a damn jig-saw puzzle.
If I remember correctly the shoulder belt clips to the lap belt via a slide & loop bucle & then the lap belt clicks into the regular lap belt buckle...
I hope you get what i'm saying..LOL
I know most people go to the junk yard & pull the belts out of the 90 & newer. But you also need the interior panels to go with it( rear belt cover by the hatch & the covers directly on both sides of the seats.
