i've only seen them on euro spec 240sx (200sx in europe). definitely not required for inspection, though. did yours come with it? what model year?

EDIT: let me clarify: on the S14s (still dunno different body styles for euro) i've seen them on every euro. dunno about S13s in europe

ALL s13 hatchbacks have rear window wipers, and no ,you don't need them to pass inspection.

as RE said, only the "SE" model 240sx S13s came with the rear window wiper the base models did not, so it is completely fine if you do not have one.
Personally, I think it should have been standard equipment.
Especially how the hatch glass is at such a sharp angle.

since i dont have to have it i am going to remove it, the guy i bought the car from a couple a months ago removed the switch for the rear window wiper for some reason, and i tested to see if it would work if i got a new switch and the wiper motor must be used up. besides i think it looks ugly w/ it. thanks for the info though

Dude my car doesnt have a rear wiper, the hatch was replaced with a wiperless hatch, and while it does look better I wish it was still there. Its like a lifesaver in the rain, especially when the glass is dirty.

^^^ just weld in the wiper and third brake light holes and rock the clean hatch look!! BTW the third brake light is not needed to pass inspection either (before you ask)
