Talking REGULAR ICE tar removal!!!!!

yes, it's true!! - tar can be removed with regular ice. You will needa LOT of ice, a chisel, hammer, and a few beers.

1.Get a lot of ice and fill up 4-6 1-gallon ziplock bags.
2. place the bagson the tarrred areas and let sit about a half-hour to let the tar harden up.
3. Place chisel at the edge of the tar, at a 45-degree angle to the surface and smack with hammer.
4. Tar should come off in playing-card sized "chips"
5. Clean up area and remove tar residue.

- i am in the process of doing this right now and pics should be up by the end of the night.

p.s. - now there are no excuses to rock sound-deadener in your trunk. LOL.

Dynamat ftl.. It is overpriced. I can refer you to a few sites ive done business with that are 10x better than dynamat for much much less.
www.secondskinaudio.com <--- excellent stuff
www.elementaldesigns.com <-- budget, but worth the money
http://www.raammat.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi <--- Good stuff, very helpful as well.

dynamat is still ugly. unless of course you plan on having interior, and its not like the few pounds you save taking sound deadening out makes a difference.

No problem man. I can tell you first hand that if you have an exhaust, deadening helps a bunch. My pacesetter used to drone at 3-3.5k rpms and it resonated throughout the car. Put 2 layers of eDead in the back from the tail lights to the rear seat and its much better. I got 75 sq ft and 1 gallon of their liquid stuff for $150 shipped.

Good info everyone. I know the sound deadner dosent remove alot of weight, but its good if you are trying to paint the interior like i am. I plan to add some sound deadning sheets to a few choice places when Im done painting tho, Thank Phantom for the links A+

Also noteworthy... Our doors and floorpan are notorious for letting in excess noise. Good luck taming the beast mang.

someting clean and simple, probably just a low gloss black, I plan on doing all the interior sheet metal and placing some sound deadner sheets on the noisy areas. Possibly some were down the line I would like to add an Autopower Rollcage. Basically im not gonna rock the rear trim panels at all nor carpet
