relocation of the battery for air intake
I was thinking of moving my battery and moving the air box and maf sensor to the battery lacation. It will get rid of that pipe running acrossed the fan stroud. It would be a shorter path for the air. Make a ram air system also.Has anybody done this. Would the work be wourth it. I can do all the wirring and piping myself.

Well, the main purpose would be the shorter intake. I couldnt find any better links than this and all the images are down, but this tells you how to do it.

You can also go with a slim battery like the ones done with SR swaps.
Slidin you can make your own. Just take a look at where you would like the air to be gotten and measure it out. Then you can get couplings and pipe bent to match.

I got a question tho, will the harness (MAF) reach to the other side?

So if the length of your maf harness is no problem then you can just mount it where you want. I would mount it after a bypass of some sort.

Thanks for the reply's. I can not move the battery to the trunk, race rules. I'm trying to stay in the unpreppered group. If I move the battery I will be bumped into the street prep. where you can change everything but the basic look of the car. I'm not there yet. I might be pushing my luck with it on the other side. Maybe that thinner battery might be good. Then I can leave it there.
This is a varry good site. My car will be at the body shop to fix the front end. A buddy a I will but it on the frame machine to push down the front left side. Could not do it at the shop. We tryied like hell. so to the machine it goes. can't wait till it's done. All that's left is the Paint. Well to the driving point anyway. It will never be fully done.

use the metal flexible tube that you find in the ducting section of like home depot or lowes (i think it's used at dryer vent duct)... did this to a friends car... then made a 3x5 sheet metal scoop and bolted/ zip tied it to the bottom on the radiator support
