Does anyone here have a RHD car that they drive daily? Would like to know because I'm thinking of buying a RHD Silvia. Here's a link to the car I want to buy:

I'm not too worried about toll booths or fast food drive-thrus because I rarely have to drive through a toll booth or eat fast food. If I do eat fast food, I usually go to Checkers and since they have two drive-thrus, I shouldn't have to worry about that.

What do you guys think about the car? Is the price for the car good/bad? Let me know, please.

Id say go for it and when you do go to a toll hop out the right side smile at the people honking behind you and be happy. And drive thrus hmm..thats what inside is for. Or hit it up in reverse.

 

the guy selling it says its "legal" so find out wat he did and what you need to do and your straight. (maybe more problems later on but atleast you can drive it)

Yeah, there's no emissions testing in FL.

I was thinking the other way. I'd do a 180 before getting to the toll booth and then do another 180 after getting through the toll booth.


One quick question, the parts for the Silvia is the same thing as a 240 right? So I could go down to a Nissan dealership and ask for a 240 part and it should fit into the Silvia fine.

 

not all the time... some parts are compatible but remember rhd to lhd they wont have parts in stock for your turbo. and if they do let me know were you go so i can order parts from them

i was thinking about doing a rhd conversion to my 240, the only problem is i cant see around cars to pass people. i do a lot of 2 lane road driving so its just not practical for me...not to mention insurance would be outrageous

The only reason to own a RHD car is to make yourself feel like a pimp. IMO who cares? Unless you are a car show guy, screw it. And as far as a Daily Driver.... Are you kidding me, why deal with the added difficulties/attention of a RHD car. I guess I care more about what a car can do than if its unique or not. Thus, I don't see it being worth it to pay extra just because the steering wheel is on the other side of the car.

 

I'm with Sneakymilo. The added attention that rhd will give you may not be a good thing, especially if you plan on driving it like you stole it. I'm not a cop, but I'm sure they'd look for anything that sticks out, like rhd.
