Rim + tire question

Aight I have a rb26 240sx that should be putting out around 500rwhp daily. I'll post pics + vids it later but I need to know what are some nice looking rims that can fit some big tires needed for descent traction daily. I'm open to any and all opinons since I'm just learning about different rims and high performance tires. I just sold a pair of rs limited concept pros that were 17x7 since I was told I can only run 225 series tires on them. I think I wanna at least run 245 or 265 on the rear tires.

first off, i envy the RB26, second...you should be able to look for your own wheels...are you going more for weight or looks? how big(diameter)? those and others are questions you should answer before starting to look...

I'll post pics and vids when I get it tuned and running which should be very soon. It seems like most rims are 17x7 even volks. I'm looking for something around 17x9 or 17x10 for wide tires for the back. I'm just worried about getting descent traction cuz I know this will be a big problem for me.

Volks come in a sh*t load of sizes bro, 17X8, 17X8.5. Id go max X8.5 u can easily run 245s and maybe 265s and be safe. just make sure u got a good LSD to keep that traction. If u really wanna get 17X9 or 10s id suggest Mustang wheels, yes mustang wheels. You can paint over the center cap and they wont know its them. Look into SVT or cobra wheels on ebay.

Aight I did find a pair of volk 57F pro's that come in 17x10 so I'll probably get a set of those. Now I gotta figure out what tires I wanna run daily that will last at least a year or so lol.

What would I have to do? get bigger fenders or tube out the rear? I'm new to this but I'm learning how to do it hardcore style hehe. If everything goes according to plan my car should be tuned either tommorow or friday.

I dont wanna be an a$$ but i agree with Catharsis on this one. How could you not have a clue about wheels and plus sizein' and think volks dont come bigger than 7"wide, but u have a 500 hp rb26 powered 240. U could have just asked the question, "u dont gotta lie to kick it"

lol

you think he's making this up to feel good or something? I would seriously hope someone wouldn't go out of their way to lie about something like this, give the kid a break, you don't have to answer his questions. Unless he's someone lost from NICO, then it could well be, lol.

Sounds like you guys are calling him out, I wonder if he'll step up and have proof, heh.

not to say this is the same thing, necessarily, but i remember a thread on automotiveforums where some kid was lying about having an rb26 powered 240. he got owned, big time. then he came back and said that he was just b.s.-ing to get a response and see how knowledgeable the members were. it was funny stuff. here's the link:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t20958.html

look for some guy named "tokar" around the 2nd or 3rd page. the dude that serves him up (Dorikin) also has a link in his sig that proclaims the ownership. i'm not saying that this is the same thing, just that if it is, it's been done before...
