Question risky startup?

later this month, i'll begin the task of getting my ca18det motor running. right now, i don't have the any intercooler piping or exhaust for it. what are the risks of trying to start this motor with no plumbing. i'm well aware that it will not run correctly, i just want to see if it will turn over. any comments?

i dont think that it will hurt anything as long as u dont let it run for any amount of time.
