Rough idle moter wants to die out 95 240sx
Hello all, The problem is once the car warms up and I go past 4000rpms the ingine just wants to die. I have to keep giving it gas to stay on.
No matter how cold the car is when it wants to go into fourth gear around 45 50mph it'll start to do this.
When I just turn it on and it's cold it idles good for a while
I have done the following:
1) cleaned the throttle body
2) put some sea foam in the brake booster and ran it through
3) changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, and gas filter.
My muffler is rusted out bad and is in need of a change. It shot some blake metal flakes out. Could it be the muffler.
What all should I try next?

My car is kind of having the same problem, i.e. rough idle, and mine wants to die out when I press the clutch in, since you have almost tried all the things everyone suggested to me, and we have a similar problem, the only thing left that you havn't replaced that they said could be the problem would be your fuel pump. I am baffled by this as well, I can't figure mine out either... -_-
I'm starting to thing it could be a sensor.. I guess I'm going to take it to teh dealership today and let them tell me whats the problem then fix it myself.
Yesterday I took it for a spin then the problem started. I kept reving it and I could have sworn the temperture gauge droped. In nuetral with the engine reving I'm sure it should climb.

Up date, I took teh car to the dealer and the machine kicked out 2 errors. 1 was an 02 sensor and the other was a knock sensor. THey said the nock isn't important but they thought it would be cured with a new 02 sensor.
I installed a new o2 sensor and still the same.
Any ideas anyone?

Air bubbleing up in my powersteering fluid tank!!!!
I'm guessing a line or somthing needs to be changed. Can some please get off there Butz and give me some advice here or a link to a forum where people will give you some input.
I swear I've searched the forums as obviously you can see what all i've tried above.
Thnak you joelB! for you're input. BTW I put 1 can of sea phome in my gas tank and one in my oil and took it for a drive in traffic. Can I say bumper to bumper traffic with a car taht keeps stalling is the suck. I'm sure people thought I was a stickshift noob but the funny is it's an automatic.
BTW can anyone tell me where the aiv is so I can take it apart and sea phoam clean it? a pic would be greatly appriciated.

Hey BigVinnie thanks for the reply. I'm deff a noob and not to sure what or where is the egr BPT. I also don't know which canaster you are refering to. I'm going to post some pics and if you could let me know which one I would appriciate it.
Also how would I go about testing my MAF sensor?
