rough idling

Unhappy rough idling

i just got it back from the shop a 93 s13 240 they had to replace the intake manifold and change some coolant hoses under the manifold, and it idles really rough like the engine shakes real bad anybody had this problem? otherwise the car runs fine any help is appreciated.

hm im not sure perhaps the idle control valve is messed up or dirty?
im not sure how the nissan icv's work or where they are ... or if they have one lol

I wouldn't do anything, and take it back to the shop and tell them they need to fix it correctly.

Does have a dramatic lose of power cause my car use to idle extremly bad, so bad the hole car shook, but i found out it was running on 2 cyclinders for some reason but i replaced the injectors and spark plugs and problem fixed

its a 93 s13, it doesnt smoke or anything ill just be driving come up to a light stop then the rpms take a dive the engine shakes really violently then dies i have to put it in neutral to keep the rpms up to keep it running i changed the spark plugs a friend of mine who has a 300 zx said to check ignition fuse or something any ideas?

yeah it is a dramatic lose of power like i said it just bombs str8 down past 1000 rpms to nothing and dies

my ka-beast used to do the same thing- i changed the plugs (NGK Iridium IX) and new fuel filter, problem solved- btw the stock idle speed is only s'posed to be 700rpm, mine used to dive down to 400

so fer sure ngk works best bc i put double platnium in it and ive changed the fuel filter and same im gettin new plug wires tomorrow where can i get ngk plugs at?

sounds like your clutch is ****ed up like mine. Think of it this way. if you have to put it into neutral to keep it alive then theres something messed with your clutch not holding.

Mine used to idle at 1000 but sometimes it drops to 200 but mostly 500. It has died a couple times where I had to give it gas to keep it from stalling.

Let me know if those new plugs and wires work tho. cars work in strange ways.
